The holiday season is long dead in our house.

Santa, dead...

The tree, ground up, mulched and looking decorative in the flower beds.

Christmas cards are erased and ready for us to send out next year...

Bah humbug...

This year, I moved suddenly, so I had no tree.

My mom bought me a poster of a Christmas tree! I hung it up and had the presents under it by the wall.

ummm... It's still up, if that's what you were wondering...

Thanks for the visit. Always nice to meet new bloggers!

I received some rather stern emails concerning my post about diapering and and as a fellow parent I'd like to see what you think of my response...

I don't take down cards or versions of Christmas trees, or wreaths until at least the twelfth day of, but I don't know if that's January 5th or 6th, because I don't know if Christmas, or the first day after, count as the first day of. But my five very small traditional glass balls are still hanging on my old candelabra light fixture with its dimmer-switched nightlight colored bulbs(and New Orleans Spanish moss wreath, which stays).

hahahahaha my tree, for the past 10 years, is a green, 12" one with a burlap bottom... decorated with tiny, red apples, silver beadwork, and red bows

takes 15 seconds to take down from closet shelf and drop on kitchen table, another 15 to put it back, a week or so later ;) lol
