I have not had peanut butter in so long that I have forgotten what it tastes like. My youngest is allergic to peanuts so I can never even have it in the house.
But I do remember that rich creamy texture...the way it sticks to the roof of your mouth. There is truly nothing to compare it to. Ahhhh and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...the quintessential kid favorite.
My favorite peanut butter thing though has to be...peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I really miss those. I haven't had one in...years.
Hey...I can dream right? :>)

I make a lovely peanut butter flapjack. Sorry just wetting your appetite a bit more!
Oddly, I am sitting here eating a PB&J as I type this. If there were bananas in the house it would be a PB&B&H (the H being honey), but I ate the last banana this morning all by itself. C:(
these are two things i have never tried...honey on the peanut butter and banana sandwich...nor have i ever had peanut butter flapjacks.
we can have a virtual picnic here among friends.
So many different ways to eat and enjoy peanut butter.. On Saltine crackers, is my favorite..
dream on, hon! that's all you can do, with the wee one allergic :(
to those who can still eat it, it's one of the best sources of protein and other goodies out there... i survived for months on pbj sandwiches when times were tough... much better than mac/cheese!
Ah,peanut butter with honey on Ritz crackers!
i am simply salivating now...
I love peanut butter too, but I love that pic of you even more. ;)
i eat the occasionaly pbj sandwich.
i really didn't grow up on it like some kids do. it wasn't a known food product in germany when i was growing up there. however, nutella was. i ate gobs and gobs of nutella on freshly baked backery rolls.
nutella is actually a hazelnut product. i don't know if it has any peanuts in it or not.
oh, and a merry christmas to you.
i read up on your last two posts. as always.. very well written and thoughtful..
xo
I had my first PBJ this year. (I'm 50) I suggest you grab a small jar at store and take a spoon and go for it. Interesting how many bloggers eat PBJ...and banana...I had both an hour ago.(12AM) Hmmm
