Love it, hate it, in between...

I do believe it is time for some much needed levity.

Let's play the Love it/Hate it game. I will tell you ten things I personally love and you tell me if you love them or hate them or are just in between.

1. Who loves the Hamster Dance song? Remember this from years ago? Here is a link to the musical rodents. Whenever I am in a bad mood I know this song will cheer me up.

Love it? Hate it? In between?

2. I love french onion soup...the cheesy blanket over hot steaming soup...delicious. So many restaurants botch it up however, making it too salty to be edible.

Love it? Hate it? In between?

3. I happen to love boardwalks by the ocean. I love the way they creak and groan beneath the flap flap flapping of flip flops and tandem bicycles.

Love it? Hate it? In between?

4. Rollerskating! I used to go rollerskating most every saturday when I was a young teen-ager at the neighborhood rink. They would always end the night with a couple dance and would play Donna Summer's Last Dance....last dance for loooove.

Love it? Hate it? In between?

5. Most people may have never tasted this fishy delight but I do have a thang for pickled herring. When I was a very young child my mother and I lived in an apartment building which was run by an elderly Jewish couple. The landlady would feed me all sorts of yummy foods which I miss to this day.

Love it? Hate it? Never heard of it!

6. Tiffany lamps are so pretty! To some they may seem tacky but I love 'em. When I was a young girl I would go to a restaurant called Zaberer's by the seashore and the whole place was decorated with tiffany lamps. I vowed when I grew up to own a few.

Love it? Hate it? In between?

7. Chai tea. I just love me some chai tea. I am not a coffee drinker so when I go to a coffee shop this is what I order. It is delicious both hot or cold!

Love it? Hate it? Never had it?

8. How about Mickey D's french fries? I know they might be bad for ya but they are the best fries in town in my opinion...especially when they come out fresh from the grease fryer.

Love 'em? Hate 'em? In between?

9. Moonflowers....awww so pretty! I love the way they glow in the moonlight. There is nothing like them. Gardens are so much fun to watch in the evening...you can literally hear things growing.

Love them? Hate them? In between?

10. Ahhh and last but not least...train rides. I have travelled by train more than several times now and I love it...you really get a sense of adventure riding the rails...feeling the miles dissapear behind you.

Love it? Hate it? In between?

Now wasn't this fun? Come on...humor an old lady....

I'm alive!

Second day of Insulin and I can't begin to tell you how good it is to feel like a human being again.

My blood sugars were ranging between 450, 500 and higher.

I was feeling ill...

But I'm back now, bitches!

Sorry, the Insulin makes me do crazy things.

I love 'em all, except the hamster dance and the pickled herrings. I especially love french onion soup and boardwalks by the ocean (jersey shore, to be exact!) Moonflowers being another favorite. Used to walk by them in my previous house. I now realize how much I miss them. They are just such a cool concept! And as for McD fries, they were my hangover cure in college. On my way to the morning shift, I would stop in for a Wendy's Burger and then stop at McD's for their fries of perfection. Yum.

I can honestly say that I love all of them except the hamster, rollerskating and chai. Those I can take or leave, though, so no hates.

I especially adore a good french onion soup and a comfortable train ride. I wish I had a bowl now and I was riding through the countryside...

I'll tell you this story: One time, on this long train ride to my favorite boardwalk, I was eating my favorite lunch- Pickled Herring French Onion soup (a delicacy which was a direct result of the Jewish Diaspora, mmmmm). For a drink I enjoyed a huge Chai Soy Latte with Mickey-D's french fries to dip, wearing my favorite Tiffany lampshade and rollerskates, when this beautiful man came up to me and gave me moonflowers. For no reason! He said, and I quote "I make it a habit to give these flowers to the most exquisite being I see. Please, accept my admiration."
He disappeared before I could offer him some cheesy herring or a spot of tea during Last Skate.

1. Hamsters? Doesn't ring a bell.
2. Love good french onion soup.
3. I have good memories of boardwalks on the jersey shore. On and below :)
4. I too used to go to the rink on Saturdays. Good memories. Sometimes I'll hear a song on the radio that puts me right back there.
5.ewwww.pickled herring? never had it, but I'd try anything once, especially with your endorsement.
6. Love all of Tiffany's work. Also in love with the Pre-Raffialites romantic art.
7. Chai is tasty but I NEED my coffee. Hard core! grind my own beans.
8. Anything with the golden arches makes me wretch.
9.Moonflowers are lovely...all flowers make me smile.
10. I have motion sickness. My first and last long distance train ride had me sick and sleeping in the ladies room. Guess that's a "hate it." LOL

1). Never heard of it. So, in Between.

2). Neither.

3). Neither I've never walked one. I'm in a landlocked mountain state.

4). Hate. I never got the hang of it and no one ever wanted to do the couple skate song with me. :(

5). Use to love but now hate it being a vegetarian. Bleck!!

6). Don't love them but they do look pretty.

7). Oh I love Chai tea. Yummers.

8). LOVE!!! Best fries in town for sure!! They are nice and greesy, soggy. DROOL. Now I have a craving.

9). Neither I guess but they do look beautiful.

10). LOVE!! Train as so romantic. I especially love the old steam/coal engines. I wish that I could go back to the hay day of elegant passenger trains. The ones were everyone dressed up nice and the cars were wonderfully decorated. :)
