I will now post some totally random thoughts...just to warn you.
I don't iron. I have two irons though and an ironing board. Do people still iron? I just turn up the shower to the hottest and steam whatever needs de-wrinkling.
Was reminded of ironing when I got mesmorized by the Dog Whisperer on the national geographic channel. Man that guy is good! They had a little story about a wee little doggy (a yorkie i think) who would bark and attack his owner's ironing board when she took it out. It was pretty funny to watch. My simple solution would be...don't iron!
How old is Regis Philbin anyway? He was made to host things...parades...game shows. Do some people dream of being a game show or talk show host? I always liked Merv Griffin. Drew Carey is perfect for the price is right. Come on down! I would be the perfect hysterical game show contestant. I jump up and down and squeal when excited. I am so setting myself up with that comment.
My favorite snack lately is my kid's scooby doo bowl filled half with dark pretzels and half with gummi bears. I like the red ones best...then orange...then yellow...then light yellow and lastly green. When they start to evolve into hardened little mounds...it almost always is all the green ones. I am eating them now. I always like something salty and then something sweet.
I am doing things to help myself with my chronic battle of mood. I shall detail those things in great detail...soon. Why is it that when you feel in the dumps...someone is always there to state the obvious as in telling you that you are unhappy. Great job sherlock...I will alert the media of your findings.
I like doors. I like photos of doors. They are this great symbol of...beginnings...as in an open door. I like revolving doors too...they are fun and the possibility exists for going around and around forever...seeing the entrance and exit but being able to choose neither.
Perhaps that is what I feel like lately...going around and around....wheeeee!
Who wants to join me?

Merely, everyday is a new day. If you cannot embrace it with a "yippity doo" mood, then so be it! Just know that a new day is coming and every morning is a new opportunity. Hang in there.
I have two paintings of doors in a French town
They are the front doors to a couple of houses on the main street and are really old - something like 17th century and are very heavy wood with carvings on them.
If I remember when I return from my holiday I will post some photos
I stuck on the first one....
If I stayed out your house then and needed to have stuff ironed I'd have to join you in the shower? Do you wear the clothes you are "ironing" in this way or what.... :-)
Too funny! The one thing my wife looked forward to more then anything else when I retired? "NO MORE IRONING" !! The uniforms I wore always looked great as the bride always put military creases in my shirts.
She also likes pretzels with horseradish mustard and a side of Swedish Fish as a snack!
I like "The Doors" that counts right? Plus I have made all the raised panel doors in my old homestead.
You jump up and down and squeal when excited? OK, yes, you were setting yourself up for a comment.
Actually, my comment to this post is that I do know someone who dreamed of being a game show host. He is a DJ with great skills in front of an audience (and he actually knows Regis). He auditioned for some hosting duties but I don't think he landed such a job yet. Great work if you can get it: they record a week's worth of shows in one day and you don't even have to live in the city where the show is recorded.
i'm there, spinning with you! lol
'...i come through the window... daylight come, and i wanna gooooo hoooome! ;)
Ceasar might be able to train a dog to do your ironing. He is pretty good.
Philbin is proof that one can live forever. Carey's only fault, besides forgeting where he is during a game, is coaching people when they spin the wheel. "That's enough, isn't it?" Let them spin if they want to.
i eat the gummis in the order that you eat them too..
;)
What is a dark pretzel ?
I love the Dog Whisperer, he is so awesome. He really knows dogs and people too. By the way, I don't iron.
I don't like ironing on a regular basis. But two or three times a year I'll pull out the ironing board and put on some records (yes, I still have those) that I haven't heard for a long time and iron clothes that I haven't seen for a long time. I make an occasion of it. And you know, that way it's kind of fun.
mini pretzels, hershey kisses, peanut M&Ms
1. lay pretzels on a cookie sheet
2. place one kiss on the center of each pretzel
3. heat somewhat in oven to soften the kisses
4. remove cookie sheet
5. place one peanut M&M on each kiss and press down
6. let cool
eat and enjoy!!
