So has everyone survived the holiday thus far? Did you have to choke any extended family members? Did a pack of dogs steal your turkey like in A Christmas Story? Did Alvin the chimpmunk ever get his Hooola hoop?
Do tell all!
And what did santa bring you naughty people?
Can I tell you that I am simply giddy that it is over? It's twue...it's twue! Christmas is over...YAY! I can breathe easier.

Santa did not bring what I had been wishing for, he ate the cookies, drank the milk, and left, as my mother always promised he would, a bag of ashes. :(
How early in the year do you have to start being good before you make his gift list? I thought five days before Christmas is plenty early.
You sound like Madeline Kahn at the end. See, you're supposed to happy like that before Christmas! :) It is a relief though.
yay ..
christmas is over .. !!!
but i can't breathe easier at all ..
sniff, sniffle, sneeze and a hack ..
Thank God it's over!!! Now here comes the New Years' Eve drama!! ha ha!
I am glad Christmas is over. I got a new scarf (scottish), Indiana Jones DVD, a study bible (from my mother) and a good rest.
Have a great new year everyone.
Santa brought, of all things, books! Who'd-a-thought?
This year Christmas was all the things it should have been; for the first time in 40 years. :-)

It was good. I got winemaking equipment for Christmas. I'll send you a bottle in a few months! :)
On the downside, I've come down with something - probably a sinus infection...
I hope your Christmas was good!
Santa was okay for me. He got me clothes (Pfft), a gift card (Good), some food stuffs (Decent) and some peace and quiet.
Considering the way the year finished on a sour note for me, Christmas really felt like another holiday, nothing special.
Except the pure joy on my kids faces when they opened their gifts that morning.
Whaa!
You and Mew Mew had a bad Christmas! Oh Merleyme!
I spent it with my friends 2 year old son. I got to witness it through the eyes of a two year old- it was wonderful. Sometimes all we need is a toddler to ground us again. I was hoping Mew Mew would have the same effect on you!
Oh well, now there is New Years to get through....
Take care sweetie.
I love Christmas! I'm actually a little sad that its over. I have a really terrific family and our holidays are always very low stress, laid back and fun. We just exchange gifts, munch and play cards by the fire. :P I hope your enjoy the stress-free post Holiday time. :) Happy New Year!
So many things went wrong, including a daughter with a wrecked car (mostly unhurt) and another round of layoffs at work (escaped so far).
But Christmas Eve mass brings a tear to my eye and peace in my heart, from the moment I spy the kid carrying the ceramic Christ Child to manager.
Guess I'm just a sentimental slob, but that one sight always rescues Christmas for me.
I cannot seem to find your email address. Go to my profile and see my Old yet New blog Teardrops on Roses. For my New Year Resolution, I am starting to write in my Domestic Violence blog again and I would LOVE your opinion!
We had a very quiet day. The snow finally melted off enough so we could go out today, and we did some shopping.
It was a different holiday, but still very enjoyable.
I'm going to get a pair of boots I've wanted for 2 years now. Sad, but we've been too broke to use extra money for them until now...Yippeeee!
I'm kinda glad the hoopla is over too. New Year's will be at my father-in-law's, where we can play pool and poker. Nice and easy-breezy!...
Hi, Diane: Christmas was very good, but I have worn myself out. Need rest very badly! Tried to go to a couple of stores but didn't have any stamina left! So, back home to just veg out. May take a few days to get back to the altogether place! One more big meal to cook on New Years Day. Then, no more cooking for a while! D
other than my car dying on the hiway xmas eve, things went well with my three kids... good thing my son is old enough to rescue me ;) lol
As you saw on my blog i got the best present ever from C!!
Glad you can breath easier!! :)
I like the new look of things here. I survived christmas and the long drive to and from Minneapolis in the winter. Now I'm trying to get my head in gear for the new year.
I'll join you in celebrating Christmas Passed!
Merry Everyday!
Oh,my darling we share exactly the same sentiment about Christmas having come and gone. But, may your 2009 be a thing of beauty for you. You deserve it.
Yes! It's twue! It's over and I too am very happy. We can start living real life again.
Happy New Year, Merely Me, my favourite writer - writer-extraordinaire.
Love you - marja
Talking of Turkey eating dogs did you read Liz's blog for Christmas Day?

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
CDs - lots of them...
Books... mostly about guitars... :-)
OKAY, clearly the most important question is about our four legged friends. Whilst it's exciting to find a thirty pound bad of food for $7.99, it isn't the bargain you'd thank!
'Tay. If you feel like it, you could look at the weight to weight ratio on animal feed. But heck, you know as well as I that a pound of ground, oo, round, weighs jist aboot tha same as a pound of organic, Black Angus filet mignon.
WTBerloodyF, you might think. See, here's the deal.
If you don't make your own animal feed, then you are at the mercy of large markets. The name brand foods advertised on TV are some, along with other names that exist beyond.
Oddly, the famous names are cheaper, whilst other brands are far more expensive. How could this be?
Famous name brand foods are only appealing for their name, (Alpo) or perceived value (Fancy Feast).
Some things to think about:
1. Lower price is only that.
2. Check weight to cost ratio.
3. Check ingredients.
4. Check ingredients again, watching for "filler" foods like corn.
5. Understand you can make your own animal food.
6. Read blogs, watch media and listen.
Here's the deal. We throw out way too much food and dogs eat EVERYTHING. If you are short of money, compost your scraps into your dogs feed.
Griffin eats everything he can glean, some of which I've stopped, like scat. But he has a great coat, energy and teeth in part due to his varied diet.
Feed dogs vegetables as treats, if they are in the habit of table begging.
Oh, poop on a rink. I just realized I've been yapping on. Crikey, I'm so sorrrrry!
I'm off to the doghouse.
