Spring has Sprung

Do you feel Springy?

I feel pretty much the opposite of springy but by golly I am going to whack myself upside the head and feel good about something. Spring is a good thing to start off with.

Autumn is my favorite season but Spring has its merits. Spring smells fresh...sweet...and cleansing. This is the time for re-birth of spirit and soul.

I desperately need a clean slate. There is the spring cleaning of home...but there is also spring cleaning of the mind.

I wish the wind would come and whoosh away all the worries and fears and leave me with gentle peace.

Whoosh!

Didn't really work but at least I can imagine it.

So what is your favorite thing about Spring?

I really enjoy the white blooms of the pear trees and the delicate pink of the cherry blossoms. Today I noticed that the purple buds have arrived on the lilacs out front. It's nice to see where those fragrant blooms will be in a short time. And the showers are refreshing so long as I don't have to be out in it. I have rocking chairs on the front porch which is covered. It's really lovely to sit out there when it gently rains...feels really good for the soul.

So wonderful to experience different seasons of the year. In Singapore, we are summer all year round ;)

Sorry I have been absent from reading here for several days...how are you feeling now? Here's to hoping bleeding/puking/feeling like sh!+ has passed!

Spring? I'm like you...I'm definitely a FALL person. But Spring has it's moments, too...all the baby animals are nice to see and I DO love the tiny shoots of plants finding their way to the light. Gives me hope I can ALSO reach for the same...

Spring and Fall are my two favorites. I love spring because I get in the mood. I hinted my wife that I feel springing this weekend. *grin*

Have a wonderful weekend.

Spring is one of my four favorite seasons. Can't wait to get things growing! Talk about Spring cleaning, we are sorting through 38 years of stuff, two houses and five building full. When we move to the "Hill Farm" we will be a lot lighter!

I love the smell and cloors of spring. It's the smell of dirt being turned up and over by those tuplips and lilys in my gardens as they push through to the sunshine. Then comes that tinge of green that you can just barely see on the tips of the trees, right before the leaves come out....oh yeah, and the billion shades of greem that I see in the landscape as everything comes into bloom...and lilacs...:)

I've been away from the blogs for a while and didn't realize you were going through such a hard time. Hope you're feeling better today and that your problems aren't anything serious. How frustrating to have your doctor shrug it off so easily without investigating!

About Spring: I look forward to warm sunshine, and opportunity to sit outside in my muskoka chair with a good book and a beer. But maybe that's summer I'm thinking of. Spring for us in Vancouver is cold this year. But the blossoms are coming and the daffodils are blooming, which is nice.

I love it when the redbuds bloom. Such a gentle pink. And how a simple walk can turn into a nature experience -- seeing all the little green seedlings pop up, the leaves come out on the tree. Its a reminder we can all have fresh beginnings, even after the longest winter. Merely, I hope you get to feeling better. This post has lifted MY spirits -- so thanks!

Lisa e, I grew up with lilac bushes in my yard. I have moved far from there and really miss those beautiful purple and white blooms. Where I live, in the south, we have crepe myrtles, which resemble lilacs to some degree, and they offer more colors but are not scented. I miss that smell so much! There's no capturing it (try as I may, with essential oils, fragrances, etc). But I can definately remember it well.

My favorite things are seeing leaves on the trees and actually feeling warm again.

I'm glad spring has sprung in your neighborhood, dear. It's taking a long time in ours.

Is it time for spring break yet? You really deserve a break after the last few days. We all do sometime.

Please don't try to be normal. It's just a figment of our imaginations, and not nearly as interesting as you.

Spring to me is a breath of fresh air filled with all the flora fragrance. Autumn offers its own brand of freshness, but no season is good for feeling puny.

You have had some good advice. Follow what you will, but feel better please.

We desert dwellers usually only get about 2 weeks of spring. We are almost into summer because this weekend brings the 90's.
