Dreaming of Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake...

Starting a brand new theme here all about FOOD...glorious FOOD!

Everyone loves food right?

Before I begin my food love fest I do want to say that yes I will be writing about synchronicity and spirituality...next. I promise.

Why the topic of food? Well lately I have been having all these tummy troubles and I have truly come to appreciate food. I am having to think about what I eat much more frequently than I used to and it is probably time for me to make some changes to my diet. Oh lordy say it isn't so!

But before I do I would like to at least daydream about certain comfort foods.

For the past week I have been having very detailed dreams about certain foods...such as chocolate turtle cheesecake! That was last night's dream. I was dreaming I was in a four story bakery and they were giving away prizes and I won...you guessed...a chocolate turtle cheesecake. Thing is...I don't even know what that is but IT SURE SOUNDS GOOD doesn't it? There used to be a restaurant I used to frequent long ago which made the best snickers cheesecake and I am sure this is what my mind was thinking.

No...not me...I'm not obsessed!

Soooo...anyhows...yes let's talk food.

What's yer favorites...lay it on me.

If you will excuse me now...I have to hold my gallbladder...

Actually, Merelyme, I'm feeling hungry, and you just made me feel even hungrier. You reminded me of the ice cream drumsticks we've got in the freezer. Think I'll have one right now - and it's all your fault.

All week long, I eat nothing but yogurt, cottage cheese and raw veggies. Friday night, Dr Jeckel comes out and we eat nothing but meat till Monday morn.

Asking me to name one favorite food is like asking a momma of 10 to name her favorite child. Here are SOME of my faves:

Roast Turkey, with all the trimmin's (think Thanksgiving)

Pepper Steak & Cheese sub

A good hearty beef stew

Spaghetti with bolognese sauce

Hot fudge sundae, marshmallow topping, cherry on top, Oreo cookie ice cream

Turnip sandwich (Yup. Not all of my choices are normal.)

Grilled cheese sandwich with tomatoes.

Tuna salad sub (again, with tomatoes. I love tomatoes.)

Any really good homemade vegetable soup.

I could go on and on and on.

I'm a steak and potatos girl. Medium rare on the steak and a loaded potato. As far as cheesecake goes I do love "Craig's Crazy Carrot Cake Cheesecake" from The Cheesecake Factory.

I love to eat BBQ ribs, honey twang chicken wings, shrimps, and loaded bake potatoes. When I am in sweet mood, anything chocolate hit the spot every time. My favorite desert to make is a banana caramel cake, caramel walnut brownies and peach cobbler.

This weekend is my hubby birthday so tomorrow (oh it is already tomorrow), well today I will be baking his favorite which is a peanut butter cake using his mother's peanut butter frosting recipe. Since I do not like peanut cake, I will also bake a rum pecan cake with vanilla icing. He**, I am making myself hungry and I can keep going on the topic of food, with that said I am signing off :)

You will never beat a good old English roast beef and roast potatoes with Yorkshire Pudding and gravy with a good selection of green veg
