I still remember a joke from the Bob Newhart show...where someone asks him, "Do you have cats?" And Bob says "No" and the lady asking him says, "How do you know?" And of course Bob gives that deadpan double take he is so famous for.
Okay...maybe you had to be there.
But seriously...if you are into cats you gotta get this new book out called, The Devious Book for Cats.
And speaking of devious cats...my miss Mew Mew is still stealing things from my bathroom! Now she is into carrying around plastic cups! She trotted off with one the other night and I took her photo. Now tell me she is not the epitome of "devious."
And here she is elongating herself to new kitty lengths.
I have lots of links to share but I am too tired to post them now...perhaps tomorrow.
Stay tuned!

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder (or the fondness harder...I can't remember), so you should be totally enamored with me! **sheepishly admitting it's been a while since I cruised over**
And, yes...I believe you ALSO own a devil kitty. But that elongated photo IS priceless!
I hope you are well...
the lady who asked Bob was right
Cats are a strange lot at times.
We had lived here two years when one day we realized when the last folks moved away they had left a cat.
Not gonna go into what I think of folks who have less compassion for their critters than their car tires.
And, to be sure, they only moved a half mile away, so I asked one day,
"Hey, is that black cat yours"
"yes he was, but he stayed out doors"
like that made a difference, anyway.
You want him here at your new place
you should have seen the look on her face
heck no, he's just a bother.
Can't hear at all, we've another
and sure enough, that was truly the case.
I looked in their bushes and
a dozen pink noses looked back at me.
Old deaf cat stayed with us teo tears or so
Gave us a dozen years worth of smiles, you know.
Never did want to stay inside
but bare to cold, he would have died
So I built him a Winter mansion
from and old wine crate, lined in insulation
[poked in food and water every day for him
even a little catbox for...well, you know what.
saddest day when he crawled under
a tire, sleeping, deaf; couldn't even hear thunder.
geez, I didn't know he crawled back under.
musta cried like a baby as he gasped his last breath.
damn being in a rush!
to hell with clocks!
Buried out back, and gave him a flowering crabtree
because out front that's where he liked to stay.
Went out to start another hole yesterday, and marveled at how it had grown.
No, that lady was right, but, I gotta say.
Ol' Bob Newhart had his way,
the silly ass deadpan look!
almost like you could read him like a book,
But then if he threw in a punchline!
HA! On the floor you'de be lyin'!
Now, you may wonder, "why did he do all that?"
Not Bob, I mean the poetry and all that.
It's because, wise sage
your post (on my page)
Says: And so I write Devious Cats Unite!
d=))
in just two and a half
Looks like a "setup" to me. Poor little kitty cat.
Apparently being subjected to a stretching device of some sort too! Stop that! I know who is being devious in that house.
My sister would love that book. I love the pic of the kitty with the cup:)
Just cups? You're lucky. Currently one of mine is driving me nuts by bringing me dead mice in bed. (Breakfast in bed per the cat???)
Mew Mew is a cutie. Tuxies rock!
awwwwww .. just look at those eyes ..
they speak volumes ..
"me?", but i'm totally innocent" ..
lol
(eyes speak volumes, but from the looks of it, I speak as many, too.
Sorry)
Mew Mew! Oh it's great to see Miss Mew Mew! I never realize she has white paws. Maybe she is growing bigger now and growing into them.
Thank you M, for posting them. It made my day!
As for the book, I hope my cat does not order it from Amazon. Thank you for not putting a hyperlink to it!
Gotsa loves the kitties! :-D
