May is National Masturbation Month!

I bet you didn't know that.

Sorry to be so late to inform you of this fact. You only have a few days left to catch up! :>)

I do apologize for not being around so much. Just so much to do and only one of me. I miss my blog here and I miss you guys. I know things do get slow when we head into the summer months. I feel the need for a hammock. Actually I always fall out of those things. But the thought is appealing.

I hope everyone is doing okay.

So what shall we talk about? Okay how about the topic of masturbation?

I wrote a question of the week for Health Central's Sexual Health site about that Oprah show where Oprah and her best friend Gayle got into it about whether or not parents should discuss the topic of masturbation with their kids. You can find my question about all this right here. I would rather you answer there than here if you don't mind terribly. I am trying to get some more community discussion on the site and it is like pulling teeth! So come on...don't be shy...voice your opinion.

And now for something completely different...

Have you ever wondered about the gluten free diet craze? My son is on such a diet and I feel that it has helped his allergic symptoms immensely. It seems to also have helped his behaviors. This diet has been used too...in order to lose weight by some. If you have any experience with this diet or just want to know what it is about come on over to read and to comment.

And on the Friend's of Quinn site I talk my personal experience trying to undo comments made by teachers due to some of my son's learning disabilities. It is a great site...I do hope you come to visit. Just follow this link.

On the Multiple Sclerosis site I have a two part series about the doctor/patient relationship. Doctor Sethi, a neurologist and fellow blogger has written the first part about his views on this topic. He did such an excellent job...I am hoping you can come by to read here.

I could definitely use your help on the depression site. I wrote up a lengthy piece about how to find mental health services including medication if you have no insurance or money. I would be most grateful if anybody could add more links to resources right here.

Also if you have ever taken antidepressants or are currently taking them...I have a discussion going on about side effects to meds. If you could share your experience here that would be wonderful.

I am going to really try to get with the program and write more freely here. I don't want to lose my spontaneity and free spirited writing.

So what is going on with you? Tell me all that I have missed!

Ha! There's plenty of time in the month left... ah, for those interested in doing such things.

Hum, a masturbation month? I suspect some people use the whole year.

I miss you too, though maybe not the Rabbit of Spring; I like the sunflower though. Okay, I liked the rabbit too. :) You are one prolific individual!

Don't ever stop writing, and make sure to link to any new places you begin. I would be hard-pressed just to come up with so many topics, let alone research, compile and write in the unique, inspiring and distinctive way you do about each.

That is a great story about your son at Friends of Quinn, his efforts and your tenacity in supporting him. I know young people, especially those with learning differences, need that support.

Masturbation month! Hummmm. That's a handful. We are expected to celebrate the relationship that never disappoints.

We have a radio show on the CBC where comedians debate and the winner of the debate is declared the , "Master Debater". I love language jokes.

I have not visited your blog in a while. Shame on me. I was reminded of this recently with two MS events here. Local communities have been walking to raise money to help people with MS financially for things beyond the scope of our universal health care plan and disability pensions. Do MS support groups in the US also do this at this time of year?

Also, apparently MS has been helped with a new therapy of very large doses of vitamin D. It seems this is news or has it been known for a while?

I wish I had known about May being masturbation month. Damn, it's almost over and I have so much lost time to make up for. Well, I'll do my best.

I will do my best, in the few days remaining in may, to celebrate the joys of masturbation. Good timing since I'm single and actively engaged in the grieving process. I can always use another distraction from my self examination. Well, I guess, this will just be a DIFFERENT kind of self examination (insert, perverted giggle here).
I bow to your ability to discuss masturbation, gluten free dieting, and learning disabilities all in the same post. Bravo.

Ummmmm......okay.

Interestingly enough, even though I tweaked my writing somewhat, talking about masturbation without having it connected to something I write, is a bit, shall we say, awkward (and I know I'm gonna get hammered on this by a few commenters here).

So, what's new with me is that I started another blog for my flash fiction a couple of months ago. So in addition to churning out stuff for my regular blog, I'm also churning out stuff for story blog (got about 25 stories on tap for posting).

Ha ha. My comment is too honest for a woman's blog. I've done my job well.

LOL! didn't even know there was such a month. I peeked at the link and question. I don't feel it is something that needs to be taught lol! Self pleasuring is as old as the hills and it seems to be part something most humans do at some point in their life or all their life ;) What I do think is that people shouldn't be made to feel it is wrong or unhealthy like in times past.

Just wanted to pop by and say hi and see how you were.

Gluten-free seems all the rage right now so it will be interesting to see if it is helpful to millions of people.

I forgot what Masturbation really is. Anyway, I have not been around as much too either. I have been dealing with my own depression and various issues.
